Arrived to Galveston Marina at 630am. It was a nice warm morning near 70 degrees. The boat ramp was stacked. As usual I was getting either the funny looks like I am crazy for for fishing on a ski or the rare, "nice set up."
I was told about a hot spot for flounder. Supposedly in a few of the tanker slips flounder stack up on the out going tide. Loaded a quart of live shrimp and headed to the first spot which was taken. Headed to the second slip and there was one free side for me to fish. First hour, nothing....then hit a 23" flounder! Right after I landed my first Toad Fish. It was definetly the ugliest fish I had ever seen. Tossed it back

30 minutes later I landed a fish that didn't fight like a flounder. Ended up being a nice size Black Drum. About an hour later I hit the second flounder. Took it out of the net for a quick picture and it fell off the hook. Lesson learned. Head home... Another great day on the water
