i've been pray for 3 months!

I am unable to do the 16th but would like to do a (17-18) Saturday to Sunday Catalina trip on this weekend if anyone else is interested. I don't want to run Catalina by myself but can't make the Friday trip over.

MajorPain: where do you guys stay? Would it be possible to hook up in Catalina or for Catalina and the return trip? I may run over solo on Saturday (if no one else wants to go) if I could hook up with the group returning Sunday. I don't even mind paying the full fee to make sure that I have a mooring in Catalina Saturday evening.

Sorry I missed this post HF! Got back from vacation and am just catching up.

We stay at Hotel Villa Portofino. www.hotelvillaportofino.com. I had to cancel a reservation there for a friend who dropped out so it might still be available. It's not the least expensive but closest to everything, including where we moor. Otherwise, just reserve anything you can get. Try to get a room with air conditioning.

You could contact Kendal in parts dept. at North County Yamaha (San Marcos) to reserve a spot with the group but it might not be necessary. We moor at Descanso Beach, on the north side of the casino. We just tie off to the swim line 100 yards off shore and swim in. (Bring a dry bag to bring your stuff to shore) I don't see why you couldn't just tie off there as well. There will be 40 or 50 of us.

There is a slight chance that my wife and I will have to go on Saturday morning as well. I'll know on Thursday night. In that case, we should certainly ride together.
