Hey Fellas!
I've been MIA for a while, but I've been fishing The Channel Islands like it's going out of style. I was out last weekend on Sunday and water conditions were a wet dream....GLASSY all throughout the day....I was buzzing from spot to spot @ 65-70m.p.h. on glass all around the islands (Anacapa & Santa Cruz). I almost ran out of fuel and ended up making it back to the marina with NOTHING in the tank....NOTHING! Definately bringing x-tra fuel this time around.
One warning to all, the fog is THICK and HEAVY....You cannot see beyond 50 yds. most of the day and 75 ft. in the a.m. GPS is a must....No visible landmarks available.
I'm heading back out tomorrow at 6.am. to 2p.m.....Once again amazing forecast for tomorrow with 1-2ft swells Wind@3-5mph
In the future, if any you Southern Cali peeps are heading out of MDR or Ventura, shoot me a quick e-mail to Israelibroker@aol.com & let me know, please. We gotta organize a Catalina Trip (all of us) ASAP.
