Check This Out!

Postby shamrock Kid » Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:49 pm

I was farting around online looking at stuff. ( trying to get some ideas to steal) :P I was on Extractor Sleds web site and I saw this. Kinda crazy looking (big) has tons os storage though. Just don't know if I need that much, but you can take scuba tanks, spear gun, etc. They have a couple of videos showing the sea trials. They just look so bulky its hard to image being able to have good performance with them on. IDK maybe. A little on the pricey side too but I guess your paying for what you get. Its not just a home made rack with a cooler in the middle and rod holders attached like mine. So what do you think?

I like the Conquest model extractor sled. Looks reel stable.

That's a bit of an overkill? I don't think you can get back on because the storage bin would make the jetski even more top heavy. I bet shipping is going to be expensive.

looks too big and bulky to me.
One of the things that make jetski fishing so unique is that space is really limited. So, you gotta pack well, travel light and bring with you only what you need. Because safety equipment is first.
But, its nice to be quick and nimble too. That picture with that monster of a box looks clean, but in my opinion, is way too big. You might as well just have a boat.
Dont worry about not having the most fancy bait tank or rod holder.
If you want to see ghetto, you should see mine. I think the most important thing is functionality. metal rack, rubbermaid container, cut to fit. amo box for a batter box mounted to a small boat transon acting as a shelf.
Galvnized fittings, hose clamps and parachute cord.
I'm telling you, it doesnt get more ghetto than mine, but, My live bait stays alive and well all day.
goes on and off the ski in a matter of minutes.

That is another thing that makes this sport unique. All set ups are different, some are better at customizing and fabricating like (hobiefish) and some are ugly as all heck. but, they work, and most of them were done on a small budget.

Yeah that thing is hugh to say the least. Looks like you have to have two people to put it on and off.

I'm not, just always looking for ways of improving my design. Came across this and figured I would post it for a good laugh.

That is like having a bait shop mounted to the back of your ski. LOL..

I am working on a pretty clever design, can't let the cat out of the bag until the prototype is built and tested. Once it's done it will go through about a month of testing and if everything is good, they will be available for sale through my friend's company.
