Does anyone have a cruise control set up for trolling?

Generally cruise-assist equipped skis require you to maintain the throttle pulled all the way in and above a certain rpm.

I got my FZR to cruise at 7-8 mph by wedging something in the throttle.
Current Skis:
2010 Yamaha FZR
1999 Kawasaki SXi Pro

Previous Skis:
86 Kawasaki X2
87 Kawi 650SX
88 Kawi 650SX
04 Honda Aquatrax R12X
04 Yamaha FX140
06 Yamaha FX HO 50th Anniv
08 Yamaha FX SHO Cruiser

I would think that the no wake mode for the newer Yamahas would work well. I am looking to sell my Honda and move to a Yamaha FX HO and one of the considerations why is cruise assist. My hand is killing me on long rides on the Honda!

No wake brings you to about 2-2.5mph

Thanks, That is a good trolling speed for live bait, too fast for halibut bonce-balling, and too-slow for exotics. One out of three ain't bad.
