First ever on the water report!!

Absolutely no wind or current as of 8:50am. Caught and released 2 sandbass and a ton of macs. Now fishing in the kelp and nothing biting. Nice blue clean water this morning.

Edit: 9:50am

Switched to a different area. Now fishin inside the kelp. So far, nothing!

Edit: 12:30

Just got done washing. Current was ripping and I ran over a bait ball with a few chasers. Ended the day with a calico. :D

Jacky, last week Joseph went fishing inside the kelp pad and got limit with his friends. I think you are using the wrong bait, you need to use shrimp when you are fishing inside the kelp pad. Coming Tuesday there is no rain I plan to go fishing at Dana Point. I miss the feeling of sheepheads pulling down my rod.

I was using shrimp and squid. But I headed north first then the kelp. By the time I got to the kelp the bite shutdown already. I know where joseph likes to go.. But got there too late. :(

So it's ok to fish in kelps? I was always scared that the kelp would get sucked into the Jet Ski.

I had a paddle to get in and out of the kelp. Still sucked up a little bit of grass though.
