Fishing at Dana Point 11/29/11

Postby alanhighhand » Tue Nov 29, 2011 4:52 pm

Arrived at Dana Point at 7:00 A.M. I met Joseph and Alvin. Joseph went out to his first spot. After 10 minutes Alvin and I launched out together. After I went to my spot we started fishing. 15 minutes later Joseph called me and told me he caught four already but it was small. I got a fish on, when my sheephead came up it was about 2 pounds. I found my honey hole again. After an hour later I got over my limit. Alvin got 3. Joseph came to my spot and asked me if we needed any fish. We said no way we already got over limit. Joseph and Alvin continued fishing my spot and I went out to search for Halibut. An hour later I couldn't find any Halibut, but they called me over they ran out of bait. So I stopped by and gave them some bait. Then I took off and washed my jetski waiting for them to come back. 30 minute later they came back and we talked shit. It was a happy fishing trip everybody had over limit. Of course the biggest was mine. ;) Btw I am glad to fish with you Alvin.

I told you the ocean will be flat today! Looked like a lake out there! Good job on the fish as usual.

Yea your right. The ocean looked like a lake out there. I promised Alvin to go fish sheephead, so I didn't want to change my location.

Good Job Guys; Why is your fish always the biggest?

I know that I like Alvin already; he is a Honda man.

Keep fishing the sheephead bite until the end of the year because you can't fish them for a few months anyway after that. I fished the Long Beach breakwall Saturday for only 2 Calico in 4 hours.(1 of them was really healthy though because I was tossing 6 and 7 inch plastics)

Because I bought the expensive shrimp, they bought the cheap one that's why    just kidding I think the location of the spot is important because when Joseph was fishing he caught overlimit but those are small when he came to my spot he caught 3 bigger ones.
