Ocean is very bumpy so I decided to fish for fresh water, I woke up at 4 a.m. and prepared breakfast and picked up my friend all the way to Henshaw. Once we got there, around 7 a.m. we rent a boat for all day only $35 which is cheap. This is a small lake, went outside to fish and found a couple of spots using jigs, looking for crappie. I checked western outdoors news, it said the crappies were from half pound to two pound, which is a good size, kind of big. I didn't see much boats since today was a weekday, but I saw a lot of people fishing on the shore. The weather is cold, not a lot of biting happening. Finally, I caught one and my friend got nothing. I came back to the launch ramp and the guy next to me caught seven. I got out and walked out to the shore, I saw a few people do pretty good on the shore, a decent amount of fish. If next week's weather for the ocean isn't good, I'll be going back to crappie fishing.
