I saw one at big 5 and thought it was interesting. Anyways, Walmart has similar made by Stearns for around 32 bucks.

Anybody uses one of these or similar?

I use one similar to that. I like it a lot. Not only does it have places to store and attach things, but it is much more comfortable to fish with. It rides higher and there is no padding over the shoulders so turning and standing up and down are easier.
