Red Fish Rick and I got a late start and put in at Moses Lake around 10am. The weather was warm and sunny but winds were blowning 15-20 mph. Rick wanted to cruise for a bit since it was his first time getting the ski in the water since he had purchased it. We cruised for 12 miles to Galveston Marina for a quart of live shrimp then headed to the North Jetties through the cut. On our way there the sea weed was spotty but dispite my best efforts to dodge it I still managed to suck a bunch through the intake while in the ship channel. I hobbled to the protected side of the Jettie and got close to the rocks to remove it. I cut up my legs and feet pretty bad getting it out. (Yes, i'm wearing booties next time

) Good thing Rick had a first aid kit to help me out.
We started fishing and hooked up with two smaller Bonet Head Sharks and a Croaker. After an hour or so we headed back for the long haul to Moses Lake.
All in all we had a great time. Next time we'll head out a bit earlier.
