Just wondering how everyone holidays were...Anybody get anything new for the ski? how about new gear? I got $175 in giftcards to Bass Pro Shops, So Ill probably make a run by there tonight, maybe get a fishfinder/gps for the ski.....

I drove by bass pro shop yesterday and figured I'd spend some money. They were closed!!!

I was looking at upgrading my fish finder to a lowrance. I have a garmin Colorado and its not as accurate as the lowrance. I know this because Alan tells me there's fish and I don't see a thing! He sees all the good spots..

Which one does he have?

I had a great Christmas with my family. I've been waiting all day hoping HS will stop by and give me a Christmas present, nothing happened. Christmas is over...dissappointed So I have to wait until next year. Lets see what happens.

I went fishing, had 2 real good hits trolling, peeled line like I had hooked an offshore power boat, but the hooks didn't stick...

I didn't buy anything new, but tonight I think I am going to buy a new cooler and build another setup because the cooler I have now I have had for a few years and it has a few cracks in it.

Good christmas spent time with the family. Didn't score any new gear but managed a new watch. What kills me is I had Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon off. Wind was howling, rained everyday, seas were choppy with small craft advisory, and it was in the low 40's all four days. Tues back to work at 8:00 the sun is out 80 degrees wind 9 mph and seas are flat. I need some mojo in a big way. I pray to the fish gods please send some mojo my way.

That's how it always ends up being.. The thing is this, if it's small craft advisory, I am out there jumping waves and leave the fishing gear at home. I would have to have a full wetsuit to deal with the temp in the 40's though.

I had a great one too. My girlfriend bought me a jetski. So now I'm on this forum getting advice to get it fishing ready and just good advice. Thanks for all those who given me pointers. It really helps and get me good head start. By the way, stupid question. But every pic I try to use for my avatar is "to large" is there a trIck or am I just a dumba**
