Jet Ski Choice

Found a gps for $200 instead of $400? Does Sport Chalet have a sale? Want to share a coupon? Post it here!

That is a nice find if the price is right; it will make a great fishing platform.

If that price includes a trailer and the ski checks out I would think that you are okay.

According to NADA:
2009 Yamaha WAVE RUNNER FX HO - 11'
Suggested List Price Low Retail Average Retail
Base Price: $11,399 $7,380 $8,350

Has anyone modified a Seadoo LRV? With the large rear seat?

Some one on here has one I've seen post with one in it. I wouldn't mind getting one and pulling the engine to swap in a new four stroke rotax. Lots of room on those jetski's.

I am hunting for the right model myself and have considered both of the above mentioned by yamaha

I may be late with my comment but here goes. another thing to consider is the 4stroke vs 2stroke.

I believe the SUV is a 1200 2 stroke and nowadays I think most folks prefer the newer 4strokes(like the fx ho)
Good Luck,

I will admit that I am biased, but I think that the Yamaha FX line of skis (2002 to present) is the best choice for fishing. It's a roomy 3 seater and is about 8 inches longer than the Yamaha VX, which makes a HIGE difference when out in the ocean. The step platform is large enough to hold a 70+qt cooler setup and has a rear tow hook behind the seat and one on each corner of the transom area to secure your rig.
Current Skis:
2010 Yamaha FZR
1999 Kawasaki SXi Pro

Previous Skis:
86 Kawasaki X2
87 Kawi 650SX
88 Kawi 650SX
04 Honda Aquatrax R12X
04 Yamaha FX140
06 Yamaha FX HO 50th Anniv
08 Yamaha FX SHO Cruiser
