Thanks for the heads up, hobie! I'll be watching the wind and swell forecast like a hawk. If we have to cancel, I'll make a post by Sunday night.

Alright guys, this trip is officially Canceled. Although the swells look good, the wind will be blowing 5+ mph first thing in the morning. It's still okay conditions to ride. But as far as fishing, it'll be hard to keep the line on the bottom when you are being pushed by the wind.

Looks like we'll have to wait until end of the month. Forecast shows rain next weekend. :x

That is fine. Plus I am recovering from the 22 hours system upgrade.

I got my fishing license today and got some hooks from walmart. What size hooks for the sanddab?

That is probably a wise decision; now NOAA has changed their mind and agrees with swellwatch.com from a couple of days ago. Looks like it could be a tough day on the water.

Mon...W winds 5 to 15 kt with local gusts to 20 kt...strongest wrn portion. Wind waves 2 ft or less. NW swell 3 to 5 ft at 12 seconds...subsiding to 2 ft at 12 seconds in the afternoon. Slight chance of showers in the morning.

I have been trying to figure out which site is most accurate for more than a season now and still don't have it figured out. I like to view the weekly wind, swell, and period @ swellwatch and this seems to at least give you the general weather pattern over the period.
