But if you mount on the swim step bracket, you will not be able to use the step, (Correct)? Im trying to think if i want to mount there too. But then I would have to take it off when i was just goofing around and wanted to have the step accessible.

Thanks

my transducer is relatively small, so it doesn't hinder the swim step. another way to install the transducer is getting a thick poly board (cutting board) and glue it to the hull with JB Weld. then you can drill or glue the mount to attach the transducer.

**Update fishfinder pics**

Postby linesix » Sun Feb 26, 2012 1:13 am

Alright Guys, Took these pictures from last weekend and things did went well.

There no need to drill a hole on jetski. I build a bracket and cut all round to a shape and blend abit to make it straight for the transducer to make level same at the hull.

There only one problem is the wire cable where goes under the seat is not a great! Im still working on it. Maybe airmar p79 is the way to go

Soon i will upload the video clip...

Thanks guys for reading

Thats a clean install I like it. I went with the P79 ducer just didn't want anything mounted externally. But you do sacrifice temp reading and that could be important some times. I really like the look of you ski altogether it has a good look. Good job on the bracket looks very well done.
