NEW from Victoria Texas

Currently looking to buy a 2012 Yamaha FX Cruiser® HO to do some fishing in the gulf. Any ideas or tips from the veterans of this wonderful sport and our possible purchase. My wife and I are barely able to contain our excitement!

Welcome to the club!! You are very close to my favorite spot, MATAGORDA!!! I know I will be there when the water warms up. I have camped the beach many times and beached the ski while camping. Very fun!!!

Hope to see you soon.

Welcome aboard Matagorda, Rockport, Aransas Pass all have some good fishing. I fish Corpus to Rockport and I'm always looking for someone to buddy up with. Let me know if you ever head this way. I mainly fish sat and sun cause I work during the week. Go get a ski and get to rigging it. Check out the Saltwater Garage for some ideas.

haahah 1000 thats a pretty insane goal. For some reason they came in pretty close to shore last summer. The guys that work on the rigs said that people were tearing them this the day before I came out there. Hopefully I'll find some time to meet up with you and we can head out there to get some kings, lings and hopefully dodos. :D Thats if you're up for a 15-20 mile ride lol it takes me about 30 or so minutes to get out there. I saw some triple tail out there last time as well but I could not get them to bite anything I threw at them
