What a DAY!! We had a great turn out this morning at our first event. We had a total of 9 contestants ready for battle at the crack of dawn. The weather was very comfortable in the morning, flat calm seas, perfect for doing 50+ mph! Everyone hit their honey holes for the morning and it was decent fishing. There were sandbass, calico, halibut, lots of macs, and sheepheads being caught. Hobiefish (Duane) caught a 19" white seabass but unfortunately too small to keep. Mejorpain (Mike) had several hook ups tied up in the kelp. It broke him off due to light line. The ride back home at around noon was a bit rough but manageable. Almost everyone made it back on time for the weight-in.. Joe?

But all in all, it was a great turn out and we will definitely host another tournament soon. What do you guys think the next one should be? Spottie tournament in Newport Harbor?
Here are the results:
1st Place - MejorPain (23" Halibut at 4.5lb)

2nd Place - Joseph (Sandbass at 3lb)

3rd Place - Alanhighhand (Sheephead at 2.5lb)
