This trip had FAIL written all over it because of PERFECT conditions...

Jason and I went out and the ocean was flat and there wasn't any wind, you could literally look down and see 20+ feet down 2-3 miles off shore. Unfortunately that was bad for trolling as it seems that there were lots of boats out but no one catching anything.

Oh well, but there's no such thing as a bad day fishing as we got out on the water and still enjoyed it.

No problem, we heard people were flat-lining sardines and they were hitting the bottom... No current, nothing....

Couple people caught some Mahi, but that was deep trolling in 600+ feet.

Thanks for the report, I had the same thing here. Water was flat as can be I went out 6.5 miles but didn't hook up all day. Water wasn't clear but not ugly either. Just an off day to fish and no waves to jump. But at least I got out again before the front comes thru on Sunday. The other bonus was with conditions so flat I hardly burned any fuel. :D Better luck next time.

Yeah the water was crystal clear... I could see schools of jellyfish probably 15+ feet down clear as day.

Here's a pic to show you how far offshore we were and how calm the ocean was.
