Seared Tuna

Thanks H/S for the recipe section. Ask and we shall recive.

I love the tuna raw, but it doesn't freeze well. After a day or two, I need to sear it to kill any bacteria on the outer surface area. Salt and large black pepper was the typical way. Then I found a simple recipe I like much better. Try it and let me know what you think.

Oil pan - thin layer (not frying)
mix 1 part soy sause with 1 part honey
soak raw tuna for a couple of minutes
coat in panko (japanese bread crumbs)
sear all sides on medium high heat

add more salt if you like and enjoy. Dipping in the sweet/sour sauce is good too ;)

Mouth watering....

My dream is to catch a tuna on the ski. That's why I bring wasabi, soy sauce and chopsticks on every trip out on the ski :D
