Hey Gary, Where you been? Haven't seen any post's as of late. You making more cooking video's or working or what? I am beside myself, with a ski that is just about ready, minus some TX numbers, some good weather, a couple sea trials and a shoulder that is on the mend. I will probably be released to go back to work just about the time the weather gets right. But, I have a a good deal of vacation this year!!! :P I will post those days in which I can make a launch well in advance so all of us can make it!!!! :D

Did the first Sea Trial today. It was a BEAUTIFUL day, nice and cool. The ski performed flawlessly. Ran it for 45 min to an hour and figured I was pushing my luck running with no numbers or registration. Sure enough, I get back to the boat ramp, there it was! Green Truck with "GAME WARDEN" big as Dallas and he was sitting in his truck. His boat was still trailerd. Had to face the music, so I pulled the ski from the water and pulled to the side of the ramp to ready the ski for trailering. His partner showed up and they launched the boat and just waived and said " have a good day" as they plained out of sight. Whew!!!!

Thats good news glad it all worked out good. Now that your skis up and running, get back to work. J/K Some times the Game Wardens aren't that bad. I was out today as well and yes it was a beautiful day. Only managed one small trout for four hours of fishing. :( But at least I got out. I'm on call this coming week end and wont get out at all.

Tried to call, but went to voice! Not much can go wrong with speedo, most are electronic (no cable). It works similar to a Hall Effect switch, meaning a ferrous peice of metal passes a magnetic pickup and that signal is sent to the dash and converted into a number. Now, I have seen the old water pressure speedo like on boats, these get mud and trash in them, if this is the case, compressed air is your friend. Or if you can blow hard enough and don't faint!

Elite, It kinda depends on how many are going. If there are a couple of ski's, I don't mind going as far as I have fuel. I am looking forward to some nice warm weather and calm seas to make my first long range run. Like I said in my other post, there are quit a few people here in the local area that are using ski's as there main platform. It is just economical to fish this way. And it is a load of fun to go out with others with same interest.
