Umbrellas for a jetski while fishing

Postby RedfishRick » Mon May 30, 2011 6:28 pm

Has anyone rig up an umbrella for their jetski? If so, what are some pros and cons. Also, what would be a good one to purchase for salt water and how does it work during a windy day.

Thanks

I haven't tried an umbrella but EVERY day is a windy day when you are riding at speed. Of course, if you are only slow trolling in calm water it's a little less-so.

That said, it's not a bad idea. You can always fold up an umbrella when you are ready to ride.

I would only use it while I am anchored and would fold up when riding. It would sure make it much more enjoyable fishing in the shade.

I folded down the umbrella while moving and put it back while fishing. It was just a little too much trouble for me and ultimately abandoned the idea.
