Nice set up, I think the second picture you've shown is a sanddab not a halibut. This fish is good to eat and it has no limit. The day I went to Anacapa Island, my daughter caught four of those. For sure we would take it home to eat. YUMMY!

I caught (4) of them and threw them back in the water convinced they were undersized CA Halibut, before I left the location.....I would have enjoyed preparing them! At least I marked the location where I was pulling them out one after another, for next time.

If you really want to catch those fish I have a good spot for you. HAHA

nice setup Kiefer! i just got my ski serviced and ready to go. now if i can only take a day off on tuesday..... working on it.

I am so angry..... I just got back from my mechanic and thought that I would be back on the water with Alan on Tuesday to fish Chinese harbor...... Anyway, my oil pressure regulator failed on my watercraft and requires that the engine be dismounted and pulled out to switch the part. I am so lucky I made it back to the marina that day with the failure of this part!

Anyway, I should be back on the water this coming weekend, if not sooner.

Alan, I will send you an e-mail as soon as everything is 100% with my SeaDoo and we will plan for a trip to Chinese harbor again..... Unless you want to wait a couple days this week for me and we can go together...Although, I understand that Mondays & Tuesdays are your days off.....

As for all those Sanddabs in your posting, all I can say is, "Wow!" - One day I will find myself a woman who I will make my wife and she will give me kids that I can take fishing with me, to collect as many sanddabs as yourself! =)

Hi Kiefer. I thought you went to Lake Mead for fishing. Did you catch any fish? Btw, tomorrow I will go to Channel Islands with my daughter.I know your jetski isn't ready yet it's okay we can plan to go next time. I will give you a full report tomorrow. This is my plan: I will launch out at 5:30 a.m. and see if the waves are good I will head straight to Chinese Harbor. If the waves are not that good I will go to Anacapa Island. I will try my luck for a couple hours for white sea bass and halibut. If no luck I will go to rockfish and lingcod.

I did not end up going to Lake Mead in Las Vegas like I wanted to. Girlfriend problems. lol......It's good I didn't go, since I would of had the SeaDoo breakdown while in Neveda and spoil the trip.

I'll leave the Vegas/Lake Mead trip for the weekend after 4th of July, provided that I have a working PWC.....NEVER buy a SeaDoo with a SuperCharger, never!
